Maria Häll is Sweden's representative to ICANN's GAC and its current Vice-Chair. She is also the Deputy Director at Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications at Government offices of Sweden.[1][2] Ms. Häll represents Sweden in all public policy issues related to the IGF space.[3][4] She is also co-chair of the RIPE Cooperation Working Group.[5]
She has extensive experience working with ICT and Internet Policy issues, both in private and public sector, and on a international level.[6]
Career History[edit | edit source]
From 2006 to 2008, Maria Häll was the Special Advisor for the Government Offices of Sweden, where she maintained external networks, contacted with the market and was responsible for processes related to development of broadband robustness. Prior to that, Ms. Hall was the Administrative Manager of a Government IT Policy Strategy Group and before that Political advisor for Minister Ulrica Messing.
She was the IT-Strategist at The Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions for three years, starting in 2000. She has also been Project manager of GavleNet, Optical Fiber City Network of Gävle Gävle Energy Company and IT-coordinator for the city of Sandviken.[7]
