DotConnectAfrica ([[DCA]]), one of the contenders to operate the .africa gTLD openly criticized ARC in its bid to operate the gTLD. According to DCA, ARC is not a world-class registry solution for .africa citing that the company is newly established and its executives who are affiliated with [[UNiForum SA] managed of the [[.co.za]], [[.za]] domain name space inefficiently.
