Beatriz Alonso Becerra is a graduate of Industrial Engineering (1980). She also attended Graduate degree courses on Specialization in Automated Systems of Management and in Information Technologies, in Cuba and abroad. She has held a Master of Management Science since 1997.<ref>[http://www.disidenteuniversal.org/1_disidente_portada/portada.html isidente Universal-edici&oacute;n digital mensual]</ref>  She is also a member of the Council of Management of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment of Cuba.
