DomainsBot was launched in 1999 by two life-long friends, [[Daniel Ruzzini Meija]]  and [[Max Ralli]], when they were still university students. The project began under the name, "Local [[Whois]]", and focused mainly on [[Expiring Domains|expiring domains]].
