Mark started practicing his profession as a student volunteer at the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau while still studying at Harvard Law School. He won his first appellate case. Since then, he became a lead counsel and triumphantly represented his clients in trials and appellate proceedings. During the latter part of 1980, he started representing Fortune 500 companies after his involvement as one of the experts involved in the merger of Nabisco and RJR Reynolds. He was responsible in coordinating the transfer and registration of trademarks in different countries. He also helped in launching new products and businesses. In the middle of 1990s, Mark was one of the pioneers involved in the development of regulations for domain name disputes. As a panelist to the WIPO [[UDRP]] Disputes, he issued and published more than 150 decisions. One of the most popular rulings he made was a case filed by Madonna. He also served as an arbitrator and for the American Arbitration Association ([[AAA]]) and [[Lanham Act]] mediator in Illinois Federal Court. Mark also shares his knowledge in trademark laws to his fellow lawyers around the world. At present, he is an adjunct professor at the John Marshall Law School in Chicago teaching advance degree course on IP Law. He is frequently invited as speaker in different conferences around the world regarding intellectual property protection.<ref>
