Grace Githaiga is an Associate of KICTANet.[1] She also works for ‘Media, Empowerment and Democracy in East Africa' (MEDIeA) Research Programme. Ms. Githaiga was a Fulbright/Humphrey Fellow at University of Maryland.[2]
At ICANN conferences, Grace is particularly interested in IDN Variants and the New gTLD Program.[3]
Career History
Prior to joining KITCANet, she was the Chair of African Chapter of the World Association of Community Broadcasters (AMARC). She has also been an Executive Director at EcoNews Africa.[4]
Education
Grace Githaiga has a BA in Communication with a minor in Community Development, and a Masters in International Relations. Ms. Githaiga is currently is a PhD candidate in a joint Communication and Digital Inclusion programme of the Institute of Development Studies, University of Nairobi, and Roskilde University in Denmark.[5]
