Kevin Saimon is the CEO of UrbanBrain,[1][2] which he founded in 2008. He does brand consulting for Japanese corporations and Japanese cities planning on applying for new gTLDs, while he himself is applying for .site via ICANN's New gTLD Process.[3]
In a letter dated December 8th, 2011, Kevin Saimon, along with twenty-seven other domain name industry representatives, wrote to Sen. Jay Rockefeller and Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison to support ICANN's new gTLD program, in response to the Senate Hearings taking place on the same day. They supported ICANN's argument that the program would be innovative and economically beneficial, and noted that the program took a diverse group of international stakeholders years to develop.[4] The letter can be found here.
Career History
Kevin joined the Interlink team in 2008 and laid the groundwork for the foundation of UrbanBrain. He co-founded a joint venture Search Engine Optimization company in Tokyo, Japan. While Mr. Saimon was completing his studies, he started a social networking site and apparel business.[5]
Education
Saimon studied in Canada for eight years before returning to Japan to complete his studies. He holds a certificate of level 9 proficiency in Chinese (HSK), and is fluent in English as well.[6]
