After having served a term in the office of Secretary of [[ICANN]]'s [[Registrar Stakeholder Group]]<ref>[http://www.icannregistrars.org/about/staff.php About Staff, ICANNregistrars.org]</ref> since December 28, 2011, Volker was been elected by the [[Registrar Stakeholder Group]] to serve as member of the [[GNSO]] Council from the 45th (Toronto) ICANN meeting.
