She was a guest lecturer at the University of Lucerne, in Switzerland, where she was awarded the Excellent Teaching ("Hervorragende Lehre") title in 2009. She has contributed to many academic journals, writing on citizens’ participation in multilevel governance, new media, social movements, and grassroots media. Stefania is also a freelance journalist and member of the UK National Union of Journalists.
