[[Neustar]]'s contract to act as the registry for [[.biz]] was extended for six months after it expired on Dec. 31, 2012. The contract is held by [[ICANN]], and it is in the midst of renegotiation. The contract has a presumption of renewal and the delay is likely due to the activity at ICANN focused on the [[New gTLD Program]].
