.band is a proposed new gTLD in New gTLD Program of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers.

Current Applicants[edit | edit source]

  1. Donuts (Auburn Hollow, LLC), the company was formed by domain industry veterans that applied for 307 new gTLDs. Daniel Schindler, EVP for Sales & Marketing of Donuts is listed as the main contact for the application. . [1] This applicant submitted a Public Interest Commitment, which can be downloaded here.
  2. Red Triangle, LLC, applied for the .band string through WhatBox?, a company that own domain name registrars, resellers and owns a portfolio of more than 1800 domain names. Erik Ludwick is the main contact person for the company. [2]

The American Association of Independent Music filed community objections against both applications.[3]
