In October 2013 [[ICANN]] released their final assessment and mitigation plan for the [[Name Collision]] issue that was facing the New gTLD program. .iinet is a proposed Brand gTLD in ICANN's new gTLD program, which is being submitted by the Australian telco iiNet. Commenting on the program and iiNet's plans, the Operations Manager said it was "relatively cheap way to secure a part of the internet".[1] iiNet announced ARI Registry Services as their registry services provider in March, 2012.[2]

Name Collision Issues[edit | edit source]
