Adrian has been involved with [[ICANN]] through [[ISOC]], of which he has been a member of the Costa Rica chapter for over three years as of July 2014.<ref name="interview">ICANNWiki Interview, July 2013.</ref>. He has also been involved in a number of research initiatives with various organizations, studying such topics as Internet Governance, Cyber Security, e-Commerce, Intellectual Property, Data Protection and e-Democracy. He is currently writing a thesis on Data Protection in Convergent Telecommunications in Costa Rica and has been working with ISOC as an Independent Researcher for the "Internet Standards and Regulations: a Journey Around the World" project.
