Daniel Karrenberg is one of the [[RIPE NCC]] founders, and an important contributor for the first pan-European [[ISP]].<ref>[http://labs.ripe.net/Members/dfk RIPE website]</ref> He helped found [[RIPE]] in 1989, and went on to create the [[RIPE NCC]], the first [[RIR]], in the 1990s.
