Henry A. (Hal) Lubsen was the CEO of Afilias.[1] He was one of the 18 founding members of Afilias and a co-founder of Domain Bank, Inc., one of the Internet's first registrars.[2] As the CEO, he sat on Afilias' Board of Directors.[3]
Hal Lubsen was frequently involved in high-level talks with other registry CEOs and leaders, and the policymakers of ICANN; he was involved in, and commented on, the work of the Registry Stakeholder Group and ICANN in general.[4][5]
Career History
Mr. Lubsen had more than 35 years of experience in different industries. He served as an Executive Committee Member at CORE from 1998 to 2001.[6] He played a significant role in the launch of the .info TLD. He owned Altronics, Inc. and Allied Central Services, two companies in the security industry. Hal Lubsen also worked closely with ISOC during ICANN's .org redelegation process.[7]
Hal Lubsen was also involved in real estate development in the Eastern Pennsylvania market.[8]
