.ph is the ccTLD for the Philippines. It is managed by the PH Domain Foundation.[1]

Rules and Restrictions[edit | edit source]

A Domain Name Applicant must be either be (a) an identifiable human individual (over the age of 18 years); or (b) a legally recognized statutory entity (such as a corporation, limited liability company, partnership, or PLC).[2]

dotPH adheres to a Zero Tolerance for Spam. The customer may not use dotPH hosting services as vehicle for spam, flames, bulk email, junk email, mass email, mail bombs and other similar unsolicited e-mail messages. Any use of client's account to send spam shall be deemed material breach of this agreement and shall be grounds for the immediate cancellation of the client's account without prior notice.[3]

Second-level Domains[edit | edit source]

The following second-level domains are available: ".com.ph", ".net.ph" and ".org.ph".

"edu.ph" and "gov.ph" are not administered by dotPH.[4]

Characters[edit | edit source]

A .ph domain name:

  • must have at least 3 characters and not more than 63 characters;
  • may not begin or end with a dash, though a dash can be used in the middle of the domain name (like jrs-express.ph)
  • must be made up of alphanumeric characters (a to z, 0 to 9). There must be no spaces, punctuation marks (except dashes) and any other characters in a ph domain name.
  • can't be made up of purely numbers (like 1234567.ph).[5]
