Amrita Choudhury is the Director of CCAOI. She is also one of its founding members; the organization is a non-profit and was founded in 2008.

The organization, and thus her work, focuses on the promotion of the Internet throughout India, and working with the wide spectrum of stakeholders involved in this task; such as ISPs, access facilities, end users, and policy creators. She has been involved in spreading digital literacy in regional languages, and thus bringing more stakeholders into the discussion.
She serves as the Director of CCAOI, Chair Internet Governance Forum Support Association (IGFSA), Chair, Asia Pacific Regional At Large Structure (APRALO) at ICANN, Chair Asia Pacific Regional IGF (AprIGF), President of Internet Society India Delhi Chapter.  


Ms. Choudhury was a three time ICANN Fellow at ICANN Singapore; ICANN Dakar and ICANN Marrakech. She is also the Treasurer of ISOC India Delhi Chapter.
Amrita has co-founded the India School on Internet Governance (inSIG) and is a Coordination Committee member of  the  IndiaIGF (IIGF). She advises youth initiatives such as Youth IGF India. She has in the past served as a UN IGF MAG Member.
