Abdulrahman Abotaleb, is the Editor-in-chief at Yemen science network. He was a digital rights consultant at Internews Network from 2022 to 2023. He was the ICT director in Yemen News Agency (SABA) from 2010 to 2019, the Vice President of Internet Society Yemen Chapter (ISOC-Yemen) from 2016 to 2019 and a consultant for the digital media in Yemen General Corporation for Radio & TV from 2010 to 2015. He was also a trainer in New Horizon institution for technology and a lecturer in Sana’a community college.

Abotaleb holds a Master degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor degree in Computer engineering. He is a Microsoft certified and Cisco certified expert. And he has +800 hours of training courses in technology, media, management and advocacy.
 
Abotaleb is a Mid-Career fellow for internet society cohort 2023. He was selected two times as a fellow for ICANN fellowships; ICANN64|kobe in 2018 and ICANN76|Cancun in March 2023 in Mexico. He was also selected as a fellow to attend the 14th Internet Governance Forum (IGF) in Berlin in 2019. He also has participated in Asia-Pacific & Middle East Regional ISOC Chapters Meeting in Nepal, the Arab Internet Governance Forum Meetings (AIGF) in Lebanon as well ICANN’s Internet Governance school in Kuwait and many more.
 
Abotaleb is a member of world Internet Society (ISOC) Chapters Advisory Council, member of ICANN’s At-Large Organization (APRALO), member of Arab Multistakeholder Advisors Group for Internet Governance (AMAG), member of ESCWA’s experts community of technology and innovation, member of Affiliated Network for Social Accountability in the Arab World (ANSA), member of Arab Science Journalists Association (ASJA), member of Yemen Media Union (YMU), member of World Federation of Science Journalists (WFSJ), founding member of Association of Investigative journalists in Yemen (TAQASSI), founding member of Yemen Information Technology Society, member of Yemeni's Engineer's Union.
 
On the non-technical side, Abotaleb has worked as a freelance investigative journalist, scientific writer and correspondent of Arabic Agency for Science News, the E-Media assistant for the United Nation UNOPS office in Sanaa, and a translator in Yemen Center for Strategic and Consulting Studies (YCSCS) think tank as well as Yemen Today newspaper.
