Rommel Natividad is the Spectrum Manager within the Marshall Islands' Ministry of Transportation and Communication. He largely works on frequency harmonization between his network and that of the U.S. Government, given that there is a missile test range in the Marshall Islands.[1] Rommel has participated as an ICANN Fellow multiple times, including at ICANN 46 in Beijing and ICANN 49 in Singapore.[2][3]

While the Marshall Islands gained independence and became eligible for a ccTLD, in 1986,[4] the necessary fiber optics reached the islands only in April of 2010. They previously relied solely on satellite based connections.[5]

Industry Participation

Besides attending ICANN meetings, Rommel's position also entails staying connected with the International Telecommunications Union and the Asia Pacific Telecommunity.[6]
