Alioune Badara Traoré is a Lecturer and Project Engineer at the Society of Mali's Telecommunications (SOTELMA).[1] He began as a Project Engineer in 1996, and he continues to work on national Internet and intranet implementation. He is also the VP of ISOC Mali.
Alione Badara Traoré is an AfriNIC board member. He was elected in 2010, and his appointment is to last through 2013. He is a founding member of the organization. He is also a member of the Executive Committee member of AfTLD. His tenure is to run from 2009 until 2013.[2]
He was a fellow at APRICOT 2001 in Kuala Lumpur.[3] He attends ICANN Meetings and RIPE Meetings[4], and has been involved with ICANN through the ccNSO and the At-Large Advisory Committee.
Fun Fact
Mr. Traore is the Technical Director of the National Mali Tae Kwon Do Federation, and is an international referee for the sport.[5] He was a referee for the 2011 World Taekwondo Qualification Tournament for London 2012 Olympic Games.[6] He is set to referee at the 2012 London games.
