More information:

.bbb is a Brand TLD and Community Priority Applicationbeing proposed in ICANN's New gTLD Program. The applicant is Council of Better Business Bureaus, Inc.,[1] which "serves as the umbrella organization for local BBBs in the US and Canada. Today, 116 BBBs serve communities across the U.S. and Canada, evaluating, accrediting, and monitoring approximately four million businesses and charities across North America." BBBs are widely recognized, impartial authorities on business practices of institutions across North America. "There are approximately 400,000 businesses accredited by the BBBs throughout North America. These accredited businesses (ABs) have successfully completed a robust accreditation process administered by each local BBB and have contractual agreements which require that they abide by the BBB’s Code of Business Practices."

Registrants will include not only the BBB organization itself, but also its accredited businesses and charities.[2]
