.chartis is a Brand TLD being proposed in ICANN's New gTLD Program. The applicant is American International Group, Inc.[1] The application was withdrawn for a 70% refund of the $185,000 application fee in February 2013. The reason for the withdrawal was that the brand in question is in a prospective merger that would not be served by the application.[2]
