Johannes Loxen served 12 years as a member of the Supervisory Board at DENIC[2]: 2007-2016 and 2019-2022.

In 1996 Johannes Loxen founded SerNet, focused on internet and information security, including registrar services, VPN and firewall services for midsize and large corporations in the private and public sector. SerNet also produces verinice, the only Open Source ISMS-Tool for ISO 2700x, BSI Baseline Security and GDPR data protection rules and law. SerNet is a domain registrar under DENIC membership.
