Alexandra Dans is ICANN's Communications Manager for Latin America and The Caribbean.[1][2] She is based in ICANN's Engagement Center in Montevideo, Uruguay, and is the primary contact for journalists across the region.[3]
She has also been an English-Spanish translator for IFEX, the global network for free expression, since 2010.[2]
She was formerly involved with ICANN through LACNIC, first as a Cooperation Officer and then as a Social Media and Communications Coordinator.[1]
ICANN 48 in Buenos Aires was her first ICANN meeting.[1]
Education
Dans has a degree in Communication and Political Science from the University of Montreal and a Master of Science in International Communications from the University of Quebec, Canada. She is fluent in Spanish, French, and English, and conversationally fluent in Portuguese.[3]
