Susanna Bennett joined ICANN as Chief Operating Officer on July 1, 2013.
Biography
Susanna was born in Shanghai and raised in Shanghai and Hong Kong. Her family immigrated to the United States, living on the east coast, in the mid-west, and then Canada, before settling in California. She earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and business administration from California State University, Fullerton, and a master's degree in business administration from Pepperdine University. She has completed executive programs at Harvard, MIT, UCLA, and UCI, and served as President and Chairman of Financial Executive International – Orange County Chapter from 2007 to 2008.[1]
Susanna joined ICANN as Chief Operating Officer on July 1, 2013. According to ICANN, "She brings to ICANN over 20 years of executive leadership experience from extensive operations roles with international public and private companies in the high-tech sector. She has built operational and business excellence on multiple continents for global expansion, emerging growth, mergers and integrations, initial public offerings, turn-around, management-buy-out and restructuring."[1] Previously, Susanna held executive and chief financial officer (CFO) roles for Tatum, IBM, Viacore, and Printrak International. More recently, she held the position Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Human Resources and was a board member for Jazz Technologies, a California-based semiconductor company.[1][2][3]
