Brett E. Lewis has over a decade of experience in Internet law, trademarks and copyright law, domain name disputes and consulting, licensing and agreements[1], and litigation; he has also been invited to speak about, and published a number of articles, about domain name law.[2]
Work
Brett Lewis is a partner in the firm of Lewis & Hand, LLP in Brooklyn, New York. Brett has represented complainants and respondents in numerous UDRP disputes, and is experienced representing clients in federal court in complaints regarding violations of the Anti-Cybersquatting Consumer Protection Act (ACPA). Brett also advises clients in issues involving various types of Internet and licensing agreements, as well as trademark and copyright infringement.
Before founding Lewis & Hand, LLP, Brett worked as Associate General Counsel for Register.com.
Education
He graduated magna cum laude from Brooklyn Law School.
Following law school, Mr. Lewis worked for a year as a law clerk for United States District Court Judge David G. Trager, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
