Frank Michlick's entrepreneurial pursuits led him to found DomainCocoon in 2006, which provides technical & policy consulting services to registrars, registries and registrants alike. The company's client list also includes Sedo, where Frank consults for SedoMLS, an aftermarket listing service for registrars.

Career History

Frank is best known within the domain name industry as one of the founders of and lead contributors to DomainNameNews, began working with internet technology in 1993 and registered his first domain in 1995. Frank's pioneered the Sales Engineering role at top global registrar Tucows and participated in many speaking and social events within the domain industry.

In 2010/2011 he worked with Left of the Dot Media Inc. (now Left) as CTO to raise funding and create a technical team. From 2001 to 2007, he was a Senior Sales Engineer at Tucows. He held the position of Project/Product Manager, Technical Trend Scout at Ision Internet AG (formerly MAZ and IS Internet Services) for 3 1/2 years. He started his internet career by founding CyberTeam GbR, where he also worked as the General Manager for 2 years.[1]

Education

He studied Computer Science at the Technical University of Berlin.[2]
