The Public Technical Identifiers (PTI) is an organization that was formed during the IANA Stewardship Transition process to to perform the naming-related IANA functions post-transition. The PTI is a nonprofit corporation and controlled affiliate of ICANN in the State of California.[1] It was created as part of the implementation of the Stewardship Transition track of the ICG's proposal, where they recommended the creation of a post-IANA entity.[2]
