Cyrus Namazi was the Vice President of Global Domains Division (GDD) at ICANN from January 2013 to April 2020.[1]

Career History

From 1995 to 2000, Namazi was Director of Marketing at AMD. From 2000 to 2002, he was Director of Marketing and Business Development at Broadcom; from 2002 to 2005, he was Senior Director of Marketing and Application Engineering at Infineon Technologies; from 2005 to 2010 he was the Vice President of Marketing and Application Engineering at Conexant Systems; and from 2010 to 2012, he was the Principal and Co-Founder at Claro Concepts. He joined ICANN as Vice President of Domain Name Services and Industry Relations (also known as GDD) in 2013.[2]

Education

He has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, with honors, and an MBA from the University of Southern California, also with honors.[3]
