Matt Ashtiani works for the ICANN constituency and stakeholder travel program, where he coordinates the travel and accommodation arrangements for members of ICANN's SOs and ACs that are otherwise unable to attend.
He is a bit of a polyglot; Matt is either studying or currently speaking Farsi, Spanish, French, and Hindi.
Matt was glad to meet many of the people he has aided in attending conferences at the 2011 Silicon Valley Conference; it was the first time he was able to meet them despite the fact that he has been helping to bring integral members of the ICANN community together since the 2009 Seoul Conference.[1]
Background
Mr. Ashtiani attended UCLA for his undergraduate degrees in History, Political Science, and International Development Studies. He received his Master's in International Peace Studies from Trinity College in Dublin.
He has previous managerial experience, including time spent as the director of a cosmetics plant.[2]
