He has previously served as the President of the Faroe Islands IT Association, as as Advisor to the Faroese Government.[2]

The NIC-FO is the ccTLD administrator of the .fo domain. Through NIC-FO domain names can be registered, created, deleted and redelegated.[3]
NIC-FO is a member of CENTR, and Isak Jacobsen is the main representative therein. CENTR has more than 50 full members, NIC-FO included. [4]
