Stephen Smith is Co-founder and President and CEO of Webnames.ca.[1][2] He is also the Director at Tasktop Technologies.

Career History[edit | edit source]

Mr. Smith has more than fifteen years of experience in Information Technology in both the public and private sectors. He started Webnames.ca in 2000, before which he was the Manager of Information Technology Transfer at the University of British Columbia and the Director of Business Development for Ingenuity Works Inc.[3]

Stephen is the founder of Flintbox and served there as President for some years. He has served as a Mentor for new entrepreneurs in the New Ventures BC Program.[4]

Awards[edit | edit source]

  • He was a finalist for Ernst & Young's 2005 Entrepreneur of the Year Awards for Information Technology in the Pacific Region.
  • In 2005, he received the Business in Vancouver's Top 40 Under 40 Award for Outstanding Achievement. (2006 and 2007).[5]

He holds an MSAT from Simon Fraser University and BPA from Carleton University.[6]
