Haoran Huang is a postgraduate student and candidate of MA. Degree in Law, as well as one of the research assistants from the Institute of Internet Governance and Law, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), which is the first ever institute in Chinese universities to focus on Internet governance issues. His day by day studies and researches including policy makings in the stage of Internet governance, the legislation of cybersecurity, the issues of data flow and personal data or privacy protection. | |||
In August, 2016, he was selected as one of the fellows of Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy(APIGA). After this capacity building program, he also was invited to join Indian School on Internet Governance (InSIG). He is a member of Non-Commercial User Constituency (NCUC) of ICANN, he also actively participated in ICANN Cross Community Working Group (CCWG), work stream 2. At the end of 2016, he was selected as Youth@IGF Fellow to participated in United Nations Internet Governance Forum(IGF), during this event, he paneled for several workshops including Youth Engagement and Capacity Building, as well as remote moderated for one of the main sessions. | |||
