Maarten Botterman is the Director of GNKS Consult BV. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and was the interim CEO, at the Public Interest Registry. PIR is responsible for managing the .ORG domain.

He is also a member of the Permanent Stakeholders Group of the European Network and Information Security Agency.

Maarten attended the RIPE 61 meeting and presented survey results conducted together with the RIRs on IPv6 deployment in 2010.

When not at work, Maarten enjoys spending time with his four daughters.
