Alexander Schubert (born September 1965) was the first person to propose the idea of .gay TLD to ICANN in June 2009. [1]

- Alexander has a masters degree in Aviation and Space Engineering. [2]

- Though Alexander had been in the domain name industry since 1997, he become a full time domain consultant in the year 2000
- He and Dirk Krischenowski initiated the campaign of launching .berlin in 2005.
- He is the CEO of Cyberinvest Group SIA, a latvian based company that develops parked domainnames into businesses
