Kim also guest lectures at the University of Ottawa and the University of Calgary on the subject of trade-marks and domain names. He also regularly presents at various conferences on domain names, [[Whois]] and privacy.

Kim is called to the Bar of Ontario and Nova Scotia. Before coming to [[CIRA]], he practiced law as a complex commercial litigator at [http://www.coxhanson.ca/ Cox Hanson O'Reilly Matheson] in Halifax, representing a wide variety of companies from Canada and abroad. He also provided legal services to German-speaking clients in all matters ranging from litigation, immigration, real estate, and general corporate/commercial matters.

Finally, Kim enjoys classical singing, various sports, and is an avid reader of philosophy.  He enjoys mostly pre-socratic philosophy. Kim is also a certified volleyball referee and fire brigade troop commander. Kim is also an accomplished athlete in gymnastics, track and field, and martial arts.
