Thorsten Smeets was COO and Director of Sales at Key-Systems GmbH until December 2011.

Education
After completing his secondary school, Smeets attended the University of Cooperative Education for Diploma in Business Studies and Marketing. In 2001, he joined the University of Trier and completed a M.A in Media Studies. He holds a Certificate in International Journalism in Media and Business Studies from Hamline University.[2]
