Mohamed El Bashir is the Manager of Internet, Numbering and Interconnection at ictQATAR and is a member of ICANN's ALAC. [1]
As a native of Sudan, he founded its ISOC chapter in 2001; the chapter went on to become the manager of Sudan's .sd ccTLD. He is currently working to establish Qatar's chapter.[2]
Current Work[edit | edit source]
Recent projects include applying for and implementing .qa's IDN ccTLD. He participates in ICANN's IDN Working Group, IDN Variance; he is an ALAC member, a member of the ccNSO council and the SSAC. He has been a part of the ALAC since 2002, and has a tenure on the ccNSO council between 2004 - 2011.[3]
