Carolin Silbernagl is Co-Founder and Chairwoman of dotHIV .hiv, which she and her team launched in 2010.[1] She is also the Project Manager at sdw (Stiftung der deutschen Wirtschaft), where she directs the start up qualification programm "Herausforderung Unternehmertum".[2][3]
She began the .hiv initiative in order to extend HIV/AIDS awareness into a consistent Internet namespace, and it is her goal that .hiv domains will become the red ribbon of the digital age. dotHIV will operate as a non profit organisation and is incorporated as a charitable association under German law. Domain sales are exclusively aimed at generating funds for HIV projects around the world and reducing the stigma of the infection.
