Teletok is the local telecommunication company of Tokelau also known as Telecommunication Tokelau Corporation. Being a communication corporation of small islands it is not that developed yet and has less than 10 phone lines.[1] Teletok works for the promotion of technology and communications in Tokelau.[2] Teletok uses solar energy to fulfill its electricity needs while the rest of the island uses imported petroleum.[3]

Teletok is a memebr of Pacific Islands Telecommunications Association - PITA.[4]

It is also the administrator of .tk, the ccTLD of Tokelau. Registration of .tk domain names is being provided free of charge since 2001 to increase the awareness of Tokelau in the world.[5] To stop the illegal and pornographic activities on .tk domains, Teletok has developed a system which detects and blocks such domain names.[6]
