James Galvin is the Vice Chair at ICANN SSAC, Board Director at Greater Baltimore Youth Orchestra and Director of Strategic Relationships and Technical Standards at Afilias. He is also the owner of eList eXpress LLC and a Participant at IETF. Career History[edit | edit source]

Dr. Galvin has been an active member of the IT and the Internet industry for more than 3 decades. He has several years of experience in technical consulting. Earlier in his career, he was the Executive Director of SSAC before he became the Vice Chair. From 2004-2007, he was the Internet Program Manager at Shinkuro Inc.. He has also served as VP Chapters and Individual Membership at ISOC, Chief Technologist at CommerceNet, Senior Computer Scientist at Trusted Information Systems - TIS (1989 – 1996) and Senior Software Engineer at The Wollongong Group (1988 – 1989).[3] He has been active in IETF for more than 20 years.[4]
