.kyoto is a proposed new gTLD in ICANN's new gTLD program. The Kyoto government has given its support to Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics, to apply for and manage the extension. ^[1] The university has not publicly indicated who their technical back-end services provider will be for the TLD. It is unclear whether the TLD will be applied for in both Japanese and English.^[2]^[3]
