C. Richard Reese is the CEO of Iron Mountain. He first held this position for 27 years, between 1981 and 2008. He became CEO again in April, 2011.[1] During this period, Iron Mountain grew from $3 million to more than $2.7 billion in annualized revenue and became the leader in information management services.[2] In his 30-year tenure at Iron Mountain, Mr. Reese has held a number of leadership roles for the company. He has been an Iron Mountain Director since 1990 and is currently Chairman of the Board, a position he has held since 1995. Between June 2008 and April 2011, Mr. Reese served as Executive Chairman of the Board.[3]
Prior to joining Iron Mountain, Reese lectured on entrepreneurship at Harvard Business School and provided consulting services to small- and medium-sized emerging companies. Mr. Reese is a member of the investment committee of Schooner Capital LLC. He is also a director of Charles River Laboratories, Inc., a publicly held company. He is a former President and Director of PRISM International, a trade association of records management companies.[4] Reese holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in ceramic engineering from Clemson University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.[5]
