Mission & Purpose[edit | edit source]
Excerpted from their response to Question 18a in the New gTLD Application:
"The purpose of the .active gTLD is to expand our community of customers in our mission to provide people with the activities that they love, want, and need to do. We currently own the second level domain active.com and would like to expand this allowing for us to further brand our efforts around developing a place where our customers can engage with people who are active. Securing the domain also will prevent confusion with our current brand and second level domain as we work with several government, community, faith, and consumer based entities that all enjoy the active lifestyle and use our technology. This new domain will allow for private labeling for these types of organizations and provide them with a registry that we can offer as part of our service."[2]
