"The .bosch gTLD will be a new generation gTLD serving the interests of end users by providing an authoritative Internet space where information, services and resources of Robert Bosch GmbH (Bosch) and its partners, franchisees and subsidiaries will be closely controlled by Bosch. The majority of the anticipated domain name registrations in the .bosch gTLD will be used in the sales, marketing and communication of Bosch products and services. .bosch gTLD will allow Bosch to maintain their strong online brand presence.
The Bosch Group is a leading global supplier of technology and services. In the areas of automotive and industrial technology, consumer goods, and building technology, more than 285,000 associates generated sales of more than 47.3 billion euros in 2010 fiscal year. The Bosch Group comprises Robert Bosch GmbH and its more than 350 subsidiaries and regional companies in over 60 countries. Together with the Bosch Group’s global sales and service partners, Bosch is represented in roughly 150 countries. This worldwide development, manufacturing, and sales network is the foundation for further growth. Bosch invested 3.8 billion euros for research and development in 2010, and applied for over 3,800 patents worldwide.
