Fernando Espana is the Senior Manager of Registrar Relations within the Asia Pacific and Latin American regions at NeuStar, Inc.[1]

ICANN & Industry Participation[edit | edit source]

Mr. Espana has over 12 years in the domain industry; and has worked in a variety of positions, including work with a Registrar, a gTLD Registry and a ccTLD Registry. Mr. Espana has actively participated in the ccNSO, he was part of the first ccNSO council in 2004 and 2005 representing .us. He is once again serving the ccNSO council, with a term from March 2010 to March 2013.[2]

Fernando Espana's interest in ccTLD issues is also evident from his active participation as the .us representative at APTLD and LACTLD meetings, where he has also given several presentations throughout the past years.[3]

Career History[edit | edit source]

Mr. España has been working at Neustar since 2001. Currently his role within Neustar is to manage the Asia-Pacific and Latin American regions, focusing on a variety of issues including channel management and monitoring ccTLD activities.

Previously, Mr. Espana worked with Melbourne IT (2000 - 2001 ), an Australian registrar. He also worked for Network Solutions (1998 - 2000) prior to the creation of ICANN and the separation of the Registry and Registrar functions.

Mr. Espana holds a Bachelors of Arts from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
