Daniel V. Dimov is a PhD Candidate at the Centre for Law in the Information Society at Leiden University in the Netherlands. He also works as an independent legal consultant (www.dimov.pro) and as a legal researcher in the field of EU law at De Hoon & Partners, a law office based in Antwerpen, Belgium.

Daniel is a fellow of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the Internet Society (ISOC). He did traineeships with the European Commission (Brussels), European Digital Rights (Brussels), and the Institute for European and International law “T.M.C. Asser Institute” (The Hague). He has a Master’s Degree in European law (the Netherlands), a Master’s Degree in Law (Bulgaria), and a certificate in Public International Law from the Hague Academy of International law. Daniel is a member of the Internet Bar Organization, International Bar Association, American Bar Association, International Technology Law Association, and Internet Society.  


Daniel has authored several peer-reviewed publications in the area of alternative dispute resolution. He presented his articles at international conferences in Cyprus and Belgium. Daniel is a Fellow of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). He also contributes to the work of Spark Legal Network in the field of EU law and, in particular, in the field of energy law.
Daniel has authored several peer-reviewed publications in the area of Internet law. He presented his articles at conferences in Cyprus, Belgium, and the Netherlands. The articles written by Daniel Dimov are published by leading publishers, such as Elsevier and the International Association of IT Lawyers. The book  “Samen Slimmer” containing an article written by Daniel Dimov and prof. Jaap van den Herik was nominated as a top management book in the Netherlands for 2013. The article “Differences in Copyright Enforcement between the US and China” written by Daniel Dimov was included as a recommended reading for the course “Sensitive Information in a Wired World” offered by Yale University. Daniel speaks English, Dutch, and Bulgarian. He has a good understanding of French and Russian.
 
Daniel worked as a legal editor for CASELEX S.A.R.L. based in Luxembourg and as a legal researcher in the field of the EU law at the Law Office of Customs Attorney Roelf Andringa in Rotterdam. He did traineeships at the Department for International and Commercial Arbitration at T.M.C. Asser Institute in The Hague, the European Commission in Brussels, and the European Digital Rights (EDRi) in Brussels.
