Dr. Johannes Loxen is Co-Founder and CEO of SerNet[1].

Career History[edit | edit source]

In 1996 Johannes Loxen founded SerNet, focused on internet and information security. SerNet produces verinice, the only Open Source ISMS-Tool for ISO 2700x, BSI Baseline Security and GDPR data protection rules and law. SerNet is domain registrar by membership of DENIC.

In March 2017 Johannes Loxen co-founded AUDEG[2] as a non-for-profit association. AUDEG members are auditors, esp. in the field of information security, using the association as a voice for their joint interests in a rapidly evolving market and to organise audit & certification services from an independent organisation.

Johannes Loxen served as member of the supervisory board at DENIC[3] for 9 years since 2007. He stepped back in 2016 because 3 terms in a row is his personal limit for any elected position.

Education[edit | edit source]

Dr. Loxen earned his Diploma in Physics (1991), PhD in Astro-Physics (1996), and he studied physics and law at Göttingen University[4].
