.desi is a proposed new TLD in ICANN's New gTLD Program. The string was originally applied for by both Afilias and Desi Networks LLC, though the latter prevailed in a August 2013 auction held by Innovative Auctions. The total amount was not disclosed though the 8 total auctions were cumulatively valued at $9.65 million.[1]
Contract Signed[edit | edit source]
On 14 November 2013, Desi Networks LLC received a Registry Agreement signed by ICANN for .bargains after passing all the required processes needed to become a Registry Operator for the string.[2]
