Omar Kaminski is the former President at Instituto Brasileiro de Direito da Informática (IBDI)[1], and has represented IBDI at LACRALO[2] until 2013. IBDI is the first brazilian entity accredited as an ALS (2006). He is also a Lawyer at Kaminski.adv.br.

Kaminski was an Alternate Member at the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee (CGI.br) for three mandates (2004-2014).[3] He was a member of the Whois Policy Review Team at ICANN and has attended the ICANN Silicon Valley[4], Singapore and Costa Rica. Also he has attended Mexico where the I At Large Summit (I ATLAS) was held, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.

Omar has signed a Joint Civil Society Statement Supporting the Proposed Charter for the Non-Commercial Stakeholders Group (NCSG), which was submitted by the Non-Commercial Users Constituency (NCUC) of ICANN.[5]

He has also contributed to LatinoamerICANN's Counsel Magazine.[6]
